Santa Claus Coming To Montgomery County Complete With Police Escort

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Santa Claus is coming to town on Wednesday and he's riding a Harley. As part of the Montgomery County Department of Police's annual Santa Ride, officers from the Centralized Traffic Section will be escorting the esteemed visitor from the North Pole around the county. His final stop will be at The Children's Inn at NIH in Bethesda.

Santa and his escorts will be leaving at 10 a.m., from the 5th District Police Station located at 20000 Aircraft Drive in Germantown. Members of the public are encouraged to come out to the following locations to meet Santa during Wednesday's ride:

  • Damascus Safeway: 10:15 – 10:30 a.m.
  • Olney Harris Teeter: 10:50 – 11:05 a.m.
  • Kentlands: 11:25 – 11:40 a.m.
  • Rockville Town Center: 1:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
  • Pike & Rose: 2 – 2:20 p.m.
  • Downtown Silver Spring (Ellsworth Drive): 2:50 – 3:30 p.m.
  • Bethesda Triangle: 3:30 - 4:15 p.m.
