Three MOCO Breweries Named To Eater D.C.'s 'Essentials' List

Check out these breweries that were chosen by Eater D.C. staff for the list of essentials in the Washington, D.C. area.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Staff members at Eater D.C. chose 21 breweries in D.C. metro area to include in its list of "essentials." On the list, Montgomery County residents will see a few familiar names.

Sunday was small brewery Sunday, with many businesses in MOCO participating. Eater D.C. says that craft brewing has seen a revival in the area over the past decade.

Here are the Montgomery County breweries that made it onto the list:

1. 7 Locks Brewing
12227 Wilkins Ave, Rockville, MD 20852
"Situated in a 7,200-square-foot warehouse in the heart of Rockville, this award-winning brewery and taproom pours pints or flights of cult creations like a Blockhouse Point Oatmeal Stout and seasonal Grubby Thicket Brown Ale," Eater D.C. wrote.

2. Silver Branch Brewing Company
8401 Colesville Rd #150, Silver Spring, MD 20910
Eater D.C. highlighted the brewery's fire pits, gnome-themed Saisons and more.

4. Denizens Brewing Co
1115 East West Highway, Silver Spring, MD 20910
The large outdoor patio and experimental drafts drew the Eater D.C. writers to this brewery in Silver Spring.
