VA Woman Killed in Crash On I-495 In Montgomery County: State Police

ROCKVILLE, MD — An 18-year-old woman from Woodbridge, Virginia, died in a crash that occurred early Tuesday morning on Interstate 495 in Montgomery County, according to a release.

Troopers from MSP's Rockville Barrack responded around 5:01 a.m., to the scene of a crash with injuries in the area of eastbound Interstate 495 before the exit to Route 355, according to the release. A preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Cobalt went off the right side of the roadway for unknown reasons and struck an embankment and tree.

Montgomery County EMS personnel pronounced the driver of the Chevy, identified as Tera King of Weejun Loop in Woodbridge, dead at the scene. A 20-year-old man who was a passenger in the car was taken to Suburban Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
