Wayne Edward Colvin, 48, of Rockville

On Wednesday, August 5, 2015, Wayne Edward Colvin of Rockville passed away unexpectedly.

Born in Fairfax, VA, on August 14, 1964, he is the son of Marcia Klausing (nee Padgette) and the late Robert Colvin. A 1982 graduate of Oakton High School in Vienna, Virginia, Colvin was a master electrician, plumber, and high voltage AV/AC technician who spent his entire career with the company his father founded, American Electric Service in Fairfax.

Colvin was an active member of the Washington Rockville Elks Lodge 15, where he enjoyed the camaraderie of his many dear friends there. He enjoyed traveling and spending time at his vacation home in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was also a lover of the Chesapeake Bay and spent many weekends at his retreat on Jefferson Island on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

He is survived by his partner of 23 years, Kevin D. McMahon of Rockville, his mother, his brother Robert, and his sister Linda. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or the Elks National Foundation (www.elks.org).
