6 Injured After Loose Car Door Sparks Chain Reaction On Rural MA Road
The SUV's driver was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital, according to police.
HARVARD, MA — Six people were rushed to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a chain reaction caused by an unsecured door resulted in a multi-car crash on a rural road in Harvard, according to the Harvard Police Department.
The crash was reported at 3:14 p.m. in the 100 block of Poor Farm Road, when the door of a commercial vehicle carrying a dumpster swung open and struck a telephone pole in the eastbound lane, causing the dumpster to dislodge from its hinges and strike an SUV traveling westbound, police said.
The SUV's driver was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital, according to police. Five other occupants of the SUV were also transported by ambulance.
