6 Injured After Loose Car Door Sparks Chain Reaction On Rural MA Road

HARVARD, MA — Six people were rushed to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a chain reaction caused by an unsecured door resulted in a multi-car crash on a rural road in Harvard, according to the Harvard Police Department.

The crash was reported at 3:14 p.m. in the 100 block of Poor Farm Road, when the door of a commercial vehicle carrying a dumpster swung open and struck a telephone pole in the eastbound lane, causing the dumpster to dislodge from its hinges and strike an SUV traveling westbound, police said.
