ARLINGTON, MA — The Town of Arlington is calling on local military veterans and their families to help with the redevelopment of the town's Honor Roll.

The Honor Roll, which includes the names of several Arlington residents who have served in the military, is part of the Veterans Memorial Park, located next to the Central Fire Station.

The park is scheduled to be redeveloped soon, which will include the removal of the existing Honor Roll.

Before the new wall can be created, the Department of Veterans' Services is requesting that veterans and their family members review for accuracy the lists of veterans whose names are scheduled to appear on the new wall.

The names are grouped into four categories: World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Current (post-Vietnam) veterans.

If a veteran's name is spelled wrong, the veteran or their representative is asked to contact the Veterans' Services Director at [email protected].

If a veteran's name does not appear on a list, an application must be filled out and submitted to the Veterans' Services Director. The Veterans Council will review all applications for approval.

A list of criteria for inclusion on the Honor Roll is available online.
