Mark your calendars! A Liturgy of Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 14, at 4 p.m. at the St. Patrick Parish in Lowell, Massachusetts, to commemorate the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur’s 175 years of an Enduring Legacy of Goodness in New England. 
On October 16, 2024, at the Marriott in Burlington, Massachusetts, we will come together to commemorate 175 years of courage, dedication and service to the community. Since the arrival of three Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in Boston in November 1849, their journey has been one of profound commitment to making known God’s goodness through education and advocacy, especially for women and children. Tsering Ngodup is a lama, or spiritual teacher, authorized to teach by HH ShaMar Rinpoche. He has devoted over twenty-five years to sharing the religious and spiritual teachings of Tibetan Buddhism in the West. He has traveled across the world, translating and interpreting Buddhist teachings for highly accomplished Tibetan lamas and masters from all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism. Join MyRWA and community experts to explore more about the <a href="https://mysticriver.org/news/2024/8/23/announcing-the-2023-three-rivers-report-cards" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">water quality grades</a> in the Mystic and learn more about what you can do as a watershed resident.
The event will begin with a panel discussion about the Mystic River Water Quality Report Card, explore why many of the smaller tributaries are still receiving failing grades, hear from municipal engineers about what is happening locally to improve the grades as well as a summary of the Combined Sewer Overflow Long Term Control Planning effort now happening. There will be time for a Q&amp;A and community discussion.
This event is free and open to all residents! Please join us if you care about clean water in your rivers, lakes, and ponds—and want to learn more about what you can do. Light refreshments will be served.
