Arlington Community Education classes start this week

Register now for classes for adults and youth

Learn something new with Arlington Community Education (ACE). A new term of classes for adults and youth starts this week. See all classes and register at www.ArlingtonCommunityEd.org.

There are over 200 adult classes to choose from. Most Fitness & Dance, Language, Fine Arts & Crafts, Music, & Theater, and Writing & Literature classes start this week or next and run for 6–8 sessions. Shorter multi-week and one-night classes begin each week through mid-December, in categories including Food & Drink; Home & Garden; Career, Technology & Finance; Games & Recreation; and Wellness & Life.

Adult classes will be held weeknight evenings in the new building at Arlington High School and at Gibbs School, and during the day at the Community Center (formerly Senior Center) and other locations around town. There are also online and outdoor weekend options, including nature, history, and food walking tours.

ACE Kids classes take place after school at all elementary and middle school campuses and include arts & crafts, dance, STEM, languages, life skills, and more. For high schoolers, classes include art instruction at the high school, college planning, and driver’s education. In addition, there are nearly a dozen family classes for adults and children to take together.

SummerFun!, which runs July 5 to August 11 for grades 1-9+, is also enrolling, with more than 100 fun and creative classes in arts & crafts, cooking, movement, games, dance, music, theater, STEM, and more. New this summer are weeklong afternoon art classes for high schoolers, including pottery, jewelry, sewing, leatherworking, woodworking, and design.
