Arlington Community Education (ACE) is presenting a special series this fall called “Arlington Focused.” These classes are designed to help residents learn about movements within Arlington that are centered on government and the environment and help them discover how they can get involved and make an impact. Future Ecologies of Arlington with David Morgan
Wednesday, October 12 | 7:00–9:00 pm | Arlington High School | $19
Discover the surprising stories of the ecologies you inhabit and learn climate-smart practices that will help seed the ecosystems of the future. Consider the town’s landscape ecology and how our yards, open spaces, and transportation corridors support the flora and fauna we live alongside. Discuss practices that residents can incorporate into their gardens and stewardship activities to help native species adapt. REGISTER

Electrify Arlington: Fight Climate Change with Andy Winslow

This panel will address the big picture of electrification, how it supports our regional climate change goals, the critical need to reach net zero (or better), and local efforts to electrify in Arlington now and in the future. Whether you are interested in becoming a Town Meeting Member, getting involved in one of Arlington’s many committees, or simply want to clarify how your local government works, this class will demystify the inner workings of your town and demonstrate how town government is truly open to all who want to participate in it.
