Arlington Dog Reminder: License Renewal Time

There will be a late fee of $50 added to your regular annual fee to license your dog on March 15.

ARLINGTON, MA - Arlington’s laws require that all dogs six-months-old or over to be licensed every year as of Jan. 1. If your dog is not yet licensed please be advised that you could be cited for a failure to license your dog.

Additionally after March 15, there will be a late fee of $50.00 added to your regular annual fee to license your dog. Per Massachusetts law, dogs should be wearing their tag when outside. There is a $50 fine if your dog is not wearing a valid license. Dog license registration information can be found here.

Off-Leash Dog Regulations Reminder
The Recreation Department and Park and Recreation Commission have developed rules and regulations for where and when off-leash dog activity is allowed and is included in the Off-leash Dogs in Arlington Parks brochure. Please be advised that any resident with a dog that is off leash in an unapproved location and/or time can be cited. A list of all Arlington parks and fields including the off-leash hours can be found at arlingtonma.gov/dogs.

Please Clean Up After Your Dogs
The Town reminds residents to clean up after their dogs. There is a $75 fine for failing to do so. If you can collect stray waste on your walks, you can help keep Arlington clean for all.
