Arlington EATS To Open Headquarters, Market At New Location

ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington EATS, an organization dedicated to eliminating food insecurity and hunger in Arlington, is moving its headquarters to a new location this week, yourArlington reported.

The new building at 117 Broadway will house the EATS Market and the organization’s offices, replacing its current home at St. John’s Church on Pleasant St.

"HUGE NEWS! We're excited to announce that EATS is finally moving to our first-ever permanant home!” Arlington EATS said a Facebook post Monday. "Our staff and volunteers will start the moving process later this week, and we'll share our progress!

The new 2,633 square foot space will include market designed to create a dignified shopping experience, a dedicated headquarters, an adaptable community room that can serve as a classroom, a waiting room and event space, or a staging area for emergency responses, breakout spaces that allow EATS to more effectively partner with other social-service organizations, and more-than-doubled storage capacity for frozen and refrigerated food.

EATS Market will be closed from Nov. 21-25 for the move. Beginning Monday, Nov. 28, market "shopping" hours will be Mondays from 2-4 pm. and 4:30-7 p.m. and Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
