Arlington Fire Department Fights 3-Alarm Fire Overnight On Dudley St.

ARLINGTON, MA – The Arlington Fire Department responded to a three-alarm fire on Dudley Street late Wednesday evening, officials confirmed in a news release.

No one was in the building at the time of the fire and no firefighters sustained injuries.

The fire occurred at a multi-use building containing an electrician's shop, bike shop, and machine shop.

“I want to commend the women and men of the Arlington Fire for their swift response in suppressing this stubborn fire,” Arlington Fire Chief Kevin Kelley said in the news release. “We also want to thank Arlington Police Department and regional fire companies for their assistance.”

Fire companies from Belmont, Cambridge, Lexington, Medford, Somerville, Winchester, and Woburn as well Armstrong Ambulance and Boston Sparks were on scene offering assistance. Arlington Police provided traffic and crowd control.

The amount of damage is unclear and an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway, officials said.
