Arlington Has One Of The Highest ‘Stressflation' Rates In MA: Report

ARLINGTON, MA —Arlington has one of the highest “stressflation” rates in Massachusetts, according to data from MyBioSource.com.

According to the data, which was compiled from County Health Rankings from 2017 to 2021, Arlington has a stressflation rate of 3 percent, among the highest in the Bay State.

Middlesex County as a whole has a stressflation rate of 3 percent as well, with a 2 percent increase in physical stress and a 1 percent increase in mental stress.

The Massachusetts county with the highest stressflation rate over the last 5 years is Berkshire County, with a 5 percent increase. More specifically, citizens here had a 2 percent increase in physical stress and a 3 percent increase in mental stress.

The place with the lowest stressflation rate was found to be Nantucket County, with a rate of 1 percent. That percentage reflects an increase in mental stress, as there was a 0 percent change in physical stress.

MyBioSource.com also broke down this data at a national/state level, which revealed the state with the highest stress inflation rate over the past 5 years was Maine, with a 6 percent increase.

On the other end of the ranking, New York had the lowest stress inflation rate in the country, with a stress deflation rate of 2 percent.
