Arlington To Honor Late Veteran With No Living Family

Residents are invited to safely line Mass. Ave. Wednesday to honor Mary Foley, an Air Force veteran who passed away Saturday at 93.

ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington will honor a late veteran with no living family members who is unable to have a proper military funeral due to the coronavirus crisis. Mary Foley passed away Saturday at the age of 93.

Foley served in the U.S. Air Force for more than a decade. Her military awards include the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon.

The town will recognize Foley with a procession from the DeVito Funeral Home to the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Residents are asked to line Mass. Ave. Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. while maintaining proper social distancing measures.
