Arlington Opens Cooling Centers For The Weekend

Here's where you can stay cool as temps climb to the triple digits.

ARLINGTON, MA — To say the next few days will be hot is an understatement. Temperatures are expected to be between 96 and 102 degrees, with a real feel temperature of up to 112 degrees, in greater Boston from Friday to Sunday.

Arlington will open the following cooling centers to provide residents additional options for staying cool this weekend.

· Arlington Police Station Community Room, 112 Mystic Street, 9am-9pm
· Robbins Library, 700 Massachusetts Avenue,
Friday, July 19th , 9am-5pm
Saturday, July 20th, 9am-12noon. The library is closed for a private event on Saturday afternoon.
Sunday, July 21st, 9am-5pm
The Children's Room will be closed, but two family friendly films will be offered in the Community Room:
10 a.m. - Monsters, Inc., 92 mins, rated G AND 2 p.m. - Inside Out - 95 mins, rated PG
