ARLINGTON, MA — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to figure out a plan for watching Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in and around Arlington in 2023.

Here's what's in store this July 4 near Arlington:

• Somerville – June 29, 9:45 p.m., Trum Field (Franey Rd.)
• Lexington – July 2, 9:30 p.m., Lexington High School baseball field
