Free COVID-19 Tests Available In Arlington

ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington community members can test for COVID-19 for free using a set of home test kits now available through the town.

Town officials announced the test kit availibility on Tuesday, encouraging anyone with COVID-19 symptoms to test.

Individuals can pick up free kits at the Arlington Health Department office at 27 Maple St., Suite 200.

Statewide COVID-19 data recently showed a seven-day average of 1,111.4 new cases per-day as of Jan. 3. That number is down from a recent figure of 1,372.4 on Dec. 22.

At the local level, Arlington had a case rate of 11.6 daily cases per-100,000 residents for days between Dec. 18 and Dec. 31. That number is up from a rate of 8.9 cases per-100,000 residents between Nov. 27 and Dec. 10, according to state data.
