ARLINGTON, MA — Nearly $12,000 has been raised for a small business hit by a fire early Saturday morning.

The fire started in Thrive Juice Cafe and spread to the neighboring 13Forest art gallery, causing $20,000 in damages to the building and $45,000 to the contents of Thrive, fire officials told Patch partner YourArlington. Damages to the artwork have not yet been assessed, but the gallery itself sustained ceiling damage.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched for Thrive, which is "indefinitely inoperable," according to Kirsteen Raboy, who started the fundraiser. The campaign has a goal of $100,000.
