How Do You Dispose Of Yard Waste In Arlington?

ARLINGTON, MA – Yard waste collection in Arlington is set to begin on April 22, and will run weekly from now through the end of November.

Yard waste is accepted in paper leaf and lawn bags or in reusable barrels labeled with the town’s yard trimmings stickers, which are available for free at Arlington Town Hall located at 730 Massachusetts Ave. and at Department of Public Works offices.

No plastic is allowed in yard waste, and if there is plastic mixed among yard waste, it will be left behind, according to city officials.

Sticks must be one inch or less in diameter and three feet long maximum. No rock, soil, stumps, or root balls will be collected.

Registration is also now open for Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection events taking place in Lexington on April 22, May 13, and June 10. Register at least 48 hours before an event here.
