ARLINGTON, MA — A home on the town's list of historically significant buildings has a new lease on life. Discussions have started to renovate the Dr. Charles A. Atwood House, which has deteriorated over the years and is now partially boarded up.

At the Dec. 16 Redevelopment Board meeting, an attorney for Atwood House owner Geoffrey Noyes said the structure is "stable and in an acceptable state, yet substantial changes are needed," YourArlington reported. The plan is still in an infancy, but it involves putting offices on the first floor and residential units on top, the attorney, Robert Annese, told the Board.

A project timeline will be presented at the Feb. 24 Redevelopment Board meeting. The Atwood House is located at 821 Mass. Ave.
