Lane Closures Coming To Route 2 In Arlington

MassDOT will implement single- and double-lane closures through November as part of the $14.7 million lighting improvement project on Rt. 2.

ARLINGTON, MA — MassDOT will implement overnight single- and double-lane closures on Route 2 over the next several months. Closures will stretch from Lake Street in Arlington to Alewife Brook Parkway in Arlington, Lexington and Cambridge.

Closures will begin Tuesday, April 20 and will be in place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily through November.

The work is part of a larger highway lighting improvement project on Route 2. The $14.7 million project is expected to be completed in February 2022.
