ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington may soon see a new location of Tatte, a Boston-based bakery and cafe, according to documents filed with the town.

Boston Restaurant Talk first reported the news on Dec. 13 just over a month after Tatte representatives applied for necessary permitting from the Arlington Redevelopment Board to open a shop at 645 Massachusetts Ave.

The same site was previously a Not Your Average Joe’s location.

The Redevelopment Board was scheduled to open a hearing regarding Tatte’s proposal on Monday.

Tatte offers an array of sandwiches, baked goods and drinks, among other things.

If approved and opened, Tatte’s Arlington location would mark an expansion of the chain’s presence into a new Greater Boston community.

Tzurit Or founded Tatte well over a decade ago to sell baked goods at Boston’s Copley Square farmers market, as noted on the company’s website.

Or has since seen her business grow, adding area brick-and-mortar locations in Boston, Cambridge, Brookline, Newton, Somerville, Wellesley.

Tatte also has eight locations in and around Washington D.C.
