Beverly Declares Snow Emergency Saturday Night

Vehicles must be removed from city streets or they could be ticketed and towed.

BEVERLY, MA — A snow emergency was declared for Beverly on Saturday night.

The parking ban goes into effect at 9 p.m. and will stay in effect for 24 hours unless lifted by Beverly police.

While forecasts early in the day called for snow totals up to 18 inches in Central Massachusetts, totals are likely to come in significantly less than that with the highest snow totals in the state about 7 inches as of 6 p.m.

All vehicles must be removed from city streets Saturday night or they could be ticketed and towed. Officers will begin enforcing the ban by around 10 p.m.
