School Vacation Plans?: Beverly Library Offers Discount Museum Passes

The Boston Children's Museum, Museum of Science, New England Aquarium and Peabody Essex Museum are some of those available for discounts.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly residents looking for something fun and educational to do during the school vacations — or anytime really — can pick up a variety of discount or free museum passes courtesy of the Friends of the Beverly Public Library.

The main library and Beverly Farms location are offering passes valid for 90 days to a variety of major museums in Boston and throughout the North Shore. It is recommended that passes be reserved 30 days in advance.

Residents must have a Beverly Public Library card to make the reservation here with a limit of one reservation per library card per day.

Museums available include the Boston Children's Museum, Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester, Harvard Museums of Science and Culture in Cambridge, Historic New England in Boston, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Museum of Science, the New England Aquarium, the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, the Wenham Museum and the Franklin Park Zoo.

Some of the passes are for discounted admission, while others are free passes. Many of the museums have free admittance for children under a certain age.
