Beverly Snow Emergency Parking Ban To Begin Saturday Night

Beverly has called a snow emergency parking ban ahead of a winter storm that could bring between 3 to 6 inches of snow to the North Shore.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly has called an 11 p.m. snow emergency parking ban ahead of the storm set to arrive Saturday night and last through much of Sunday.

Forecasts have the North Shore set to receive between 3 and 6 inches of snow with high winds and perhaps rain mixing at times early in the storm.

Any vehicle still on the street at that time will be subject to ticketing and towing.

Officials said the parking ban will be in effect through Sunday during the day and possibly into the night.

"Cold air is expected to follow the storm, making it essential that cars are not on the street during plowing operations," officials said. "Please help us by staying off the roads and removing your basketball hoops from the roadway. Remember to stay safe and help your neighbors if you are able."

The MBTA garage will be open to all vehicles as of 8 p.m. with a $4 fee to park overnight.
