Beverly's Weather Forecast: Snowstorm Sunday Night into Monday

Beverly, MA - In the past 48 hours forecasters have said a storm was on the way for the North Shore, then it wasn't and now it's back again.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for northeastern Massachusetts, including Beverly, from Sunday night through Monday morning.

Heavy snowfall is expected from this system with accumulations of four to eight inches possible.

Snow is expected to develop between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday night. Forecasters say snow may fall heavy at times during the overnight hours with some snow persisting into rush hour Monday morning. Snow is expected to end by late Monday morning.

Hazardous travel is expected Sunday night and into the Monday morning commute. Visibilities could be a quarter mile or less at times throughout the storm.
