Extreme Heat: Beverly Library Locations Open As 'Cooler' Centers

The main library and Beverly Farms will be spots to cool down over the next few days with the heat index expected to soar past 100 degrees.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly residents who need a place to cool down amid the latest heatwave can do so at the city's public library branches this week.

The libraries will be open with air conditioning over the next three days as the heat index is forecast to soar past 100 degrees.

The main library location will be open until 9 p.m. on both Wednesday and Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.

The Beverly Farms branch will be open until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
