Obituary: James W. Carroll, 55, Loving Husband and Father

He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Vittori Rocci Post, ICC and the Franco American Club, all in Beverly.

James Walter Carroll, 55, passed away on June 25, 2015 in Beverly Hospital. He was the loving husband of Jillian (Pirrotta) Carroll.

Born in Salem on March 13, 1960, he was the loving son of Barbara (Hall) Carroll of Beverly and the late John R. Carroll. He graduated from Beverly High School in 1978. He was formerly employed with Axcelis Technologies in Beverly and also many years at General Electric in Wilmington. James was a member of the Elks Lodge, Vittori Rocci Post, ICC and the Franco American Club, all in Beverly. He enjoyed golfing, cooking, vegetable gardening and spending time at the beach. James was also an avid sports fan and loved hockey. He adored his three children and mother; they meant the world to him.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his beloved three children, Mikaela, Aaron and Hailey Carroll, his sister Jane Carroll of Danvers, his brother John Carroll and his wife Kathy of CT, three nieces, Morgan, Madison and McKenzie Carroll and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A service was held. There are no other services planned. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in James’ name to the Carroll Family Support Fund c/o Salem Five Bank, 496 Cabot St, Beverly 01915 or can be electronically transferred to the bank by using the #211370558.
