Obituary: Jeremiah G. Foster; Lifelong Resident of Beverly, Member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Beverly

Served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the U.S. Army.

Jeremiah G. Foster 85, beloved husband of Marie F. (Langlois) Foster, died Monday, June 1, 2015.
Born and raised in Beverly, he was the son of the late Jeremiah O. and Marion (Shay) Foster. He received his education at St. Mary’s Grammar School in Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army.

Mr. Foster had been employed for many years by the New England Telephone and Telegraph Company until the time of his retirement in 1991. Prior to that he had worked at the United Shoe Machine Corp. in Beverly where he met his wife.

A lifelong resident of Beverly, Mr. Foster was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Beverly where he had served as a lector and a member of the Holy Name Society and the Couples Club. He was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

In addition to his wife with whom he shared sixty years of marriage, he is survived by a daughter, Judith Willson and her husband, Derick Jr. of Lee, NH, a son, Jeremiah T. Foster and his wife, Lisa McCarthy Foster of Danvers, six grandchildren, Derick Tyler Willson of Portsmouth, NH, David F. Willson of Indianapolis, IN, Jeremiah Travis Foster, Brittany, Sydney and Tiffany Foster all of Danvers, a brother, John Foster of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Donald Foster.
