BEVERLY, MA - Richard (Dick) Williams passed unexpectedly on Dec 30th with his family by his side. He was 84 years old. Dick was a graduate of Beverly High School class of 1949. After high school Dick enlisted in the army and served his country for three years in Germany during the Korean conflict. Dick proudly served as a Beverly, MA firefighter for 31 years.

He, his wife and children also operated the locally cherished “Dick & June’s Ice Cream” from 1968 through this past summer. Retirement for Dick was bitter sweet because he was so dedicated to his business and worked tirelessly. Dick had many friends though his business as well as The Knights of Columbus, Vittori-Rocci Post and The American Legion Post in Manchester-by-the-Sea.

He loved to play cards and was a big sports fan. Dick also is survived by two brothers, David Williams from Florida and Donald (Alan) Williams from New Hampshire. He is predeceased by his brother, Robert, formerly of Salem, MA.
