Dog Found In Conditions 'Beyond Explanation' Expected To Make It

Brandy is going to pull through, according to the woman who found her.

BRAINTREE, MA — A dog found in incredibly poor living conditions is going to be alright, according to the person who found her.

Suzanne DiGiammo Rayberg wrote on the GoFundMe campaign "Hope and Healing for Brandy" that the bulldog is going to pull through. A starved Brandy was found by Rayberg Sunday.

"She is doing well and getting stronger every day. Although she looks the same in size, her eyes are now bright and her demeanor is one of a happy dog that knows life only gets better from here," Rayberg wrote.

Rayberg wrote that she recently began to notice neither the Brandy nor her owner were leaving the house, and she wasn't able to get much information from her neighbor. When she stopped by the house, Rayberg found the dog in a living situation she described as "beyond explanation." The owner appeared to be in a poor physical and mental state, she said.

With the permission of Brandy's owner, Rayberg and her husband took the dog to the Veterinary Centers of America - Weymouth, where veterinarians concluded Brandy was starved.
