Brookline Day Details Continue To Be Revealed

Brookline Recreation has announced the sponsors, vendors and musical acts for the upcoming Coolidge Corner festival.

BROOKLINE, MA — The Brookline Recreation Department has released more details about this coming weekend's Brookline Day event.

The festival is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in Coolidge Corner. This will be the second straight year Brookline Day is being held at that location, after previously being held at Larz Anderson Park.

During the festival, Harvard Street, between Beacon Street and Stedman Street, will feature sponsor and vendor tables. Both nonprofit and business vendors will be represented. A list of vendors and sponsors is available online.

"Meet and greet local businesses and organizations to learn about their exciting products and services," organizers said in a statement.

The Main Stage, located at Harvard Street and Stedman Street, is scheduled to include performances by Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys (11 a.m.), Blueish (12:30 p.m.) and Koliba (1:45 p.m.).

The Kidz Zone will be located on the athletic fields and basketball courts at Florida Ruffin Ridley School, located at 345 Harvard St. The Zone will offer a wide range of activities for kids of all ages, including: interactive games, inflatables and face painting.

Meanwhile, Touch-a-Truck will take place at the Florida Ruffin Ridley School Harvard Street entrance. This will allow youngsters to get a close-up look at their favorite town vehicles from the Brookline Police Department, Brookline Fire Department and Brookline Department of Public Works (DPW).

The Food Area will be located on Babcock Street, while a Wellness Stage, featuring health and relaxation sessions, is set for the intersection of Harvard Street and Babcock Street.

Authorities are reminding residents that Harvard Street between Beacon Street and Stedman Street will be closed Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. due to Brookline Day. With on-street parking limited, attendees are being encouraged to take public transportation.
