Middlesex County DA: Male Arraigned And Charged With Breaking And Entering In Carlisle

CARLISLE - Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Carlisle Chief of Police John Fisher have announced that Douglas Stevenson, 58 of Carlisle, was charged with three counts of breaking and entering, accosting and annoying another person, larceny under $1200, criminal harassment and vandalizing property in connection with breaking and entering his tenant's property in Carlisle.Douglas Stevenson admitted to all of the charges at his arraignment in Concord District Court on July 1, 2021. Judge Stephen Geary ordered him to receive mental health treatment and stay away and have no contact with the victim. On April 17, 2021, at approximately 2:06 p.m., Carlisle police responded to a residence located on Cross Street for a report of a house being break-in while the occupants were on vacation. Subsequent investigation revealed that Douglas Stevenson was the landlord of that property and that he allegedly broke into the house without the tenants' consent at least four times on April 16 and April 17. He reportedly also stole property from the premises. After the police report was filed, Mr. Stevenson violated a harassment order placed in April 17 by contacting the victim through a third party.
