MA Boy, 1, Dies After Police Pull Him From Vehicle

Police said the circumstances of the baby's death were still under investigation Wednesday afternoon.

LEXINGTON, MA — Lexington police say that a baby has died after being left in a vehicle parking along a busy road in town.

Police responded to a parking lot near 363 Massachusetts Ave. near 5:30 p.m. Tuesday after a call about an unresponsive child in a vehicle. The 1-year-old was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“At this time, the circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation,” Lexington police said in a short news release Wednesday.

Police did not say if the baby died due to being left in the car, or had been placed in the car.
