LEXINGTON, MA—Lexington police announced the death of a former police captain Friday.

Kilmartin survives his fiance Anne P. Foley of Woburn, his daughter Karen E. Kilmartin and her significant other Keith Oblash of Rhode Island, James M. Kilmartin III and his fiancee, Jennifer Clark of Westminster.

A funeral will be held at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home located at 263 Main Street in Woburn Wednesday at 9:15 a.m, followed by a funeral mass at St. Charles Church located at 28 Main Street in Woburn at 10. Internment is private.
