Individualized Stimulation to Improve Mobility Study

Are you age 65-85 and had two or more falls in the past year? Do you fear you will fall again?

Researchers at the Marcus Institute for Aging Research, at Hebrew SeniorLife, Roslindale, MA, are seeking volunteers to participate in an 8-month study, funded by the National Institute on Aging. The purpose of the study is to determine if non-invasive brain stimulation improves balance, walking and memory in older adults who have fallen. Participation includes 27 visits over 8 months and includes a screening visit; study assessments: health interviews and tests of walking, balance and memory; and non-invasive brain stimulation: 20-minute sessions, one per day over four weeks, Mon-Fri.

Participation is paid up to $510.

Parking is free and transportation can be provided for you if needed.
