SHREWSBURY, MA — A manufactured home in Shrewsbury collapsed following two storms that walloped the region with heavy snow and rain.

The Shrewsbury Fire Department posted Wednesday on Facebook that firefighters responded to a call at 151 Hartford Turnpike.

"The building was evacuated without any injuries to the inhabitant and the Team shored up the structure to impede any further collapse and protect adjacent dwellings," the fire department wrote. "That building was constructed in 1970 and will have to be demolished due to excessive damage caused by water and snow weight on the roof."
