SHREWSBURY, MA — The heat continues, with a possible record-breaking day on Sunday.

A heat advisory will blanket the region on Saturday and Sunday with temperatures remaining in the 90s. Sunday will be the hottest day of the weekend, with the heat index near 100 degrees.

It'll also be a very sunny weekend with no rain relief in sight until very early Monday morning.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 94. West wind 3 to 8 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 72. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Southwest wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Sunday Night: A slight chance of showers between 1am and 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. Southwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
