SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury police last month arrested two men from Worcester after finding an altered handgun in their car.

Shrewsbury police pulled over a Honda sedan near 6:30 p.m. on April 28 along North Quinsigamond Avenue for an equipment violation. Police arrested the 19-year-old driver after finding a warrant out for his arrest.

The 19-year-old passenger was carrying a black satchel, and inside police found a loaded 9mm handgun with its serial number scratched off. He was arrested on several weapons charges, including possession of a gun without a license.
