Severe Weather Expected Tuesday Afternoon in Winchester
These storms could possibly spin off a tornado, bring golf ball size hail and wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour.

The National Weather Service is warning Massachusetts residents to keep their eyes to the sky Tuesday afternoon as there is an enhanced risk for severe weather across the state.

Forecasters have been warning of the potential for severe weather for a couple of days now. The main threats of this storm include 70 mile per hour wind gusts, hail as large as golf balls and possibly a tornado. Heavy rain and frequent lightning cannot also be ruled out.
The area with the highest severe alert as of 6:34 a.m. Tuesday morning will be near and north west of the I-95 corridor between Providence and Boston. However, NWS officials are saying severe weather is also possible all the way to the eastern coastline including the Cape and Islands.

As of Tuesday morning there was still some uncertainty due the potential cloud cover moving in later this morning.
