Winchester Weather: Post-"Snowmageddon" Totals

Winter Storm Jonas terrorized the east coast, but Winchester and Middlesex County avoided serious accumulation.

WINCHESTER, MA—Snow took its toll on the much of east coast as Winter Storm Jonas brought feet to New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.

However, Middlesex County remained relatively unscathed in comparison. According to the National Weather Service, Middlesex County was hit with an average of three inches of snow. Winchester was forced to deal with 4.5 inches of accumulation, slightly higher than the average.

Of the areas recorded by the NWS, Natick and Framingham were hit with the most significant amounts of snow with five inches of coverage. Lexington and Concord were spared, both seeing under two inches.

NWS’ extended forecast predicts that Winchester will see warmer temperatures going forward this week, as high temperatures are expected to stay above 32 degrees.

Temperatures are predicted to exceed 45 degrees on Tuesday.
