Your Winchester Weather: Hot Summer Weather on Tap for the Week

Memorial Day marks the unofficial first day of summer and temperatures this week are going to make it feel more like July than the last week of May. But after the winter we had, who is complaining?

Temperatures will be in the mid to high 80s much of the week with a chance of scattered thunderstorms on Thursday.

Here’s a look at this week’s forecast from the National Weather Service:

• Tuesday: Time to turn on that air conditioning. Tuesday will bring partly cloudy skies and a high of 89 degrees. Partly cloudy skies Tuesday night will give way to cloudy skies. There’s a 20 percent chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm Tuesday night with a low of 64.

• Wednesday: Intervals of clouds and sunshine with a high of 88 degrees. Partly cloudy skies with occasional showers Wednesday night with a low of 64.

• Thursday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms Thursday with an anticipated high of 85 degrees. Thursday night the showers lessen with a low of 62.

• Friday: Look for cloudy skies early Friday before some partial clearing with a high of 86 degrees. Friday night skies will clear with a low of 62.

Right now the weekend is looking to be near 90 degrees and sunny on Saturday with the possibility of clouds and rain showers Sunday.
