EDEN PRAIRIE, MN — Police are investigating after $1 million was stolen from the Margaret A. Cargill Foundation in Eden Prairie.

The money was intercepted when the foundation tried to send a $2 million dollar grant to an organization in Alaska in three separate payments, the Star Tribune reported.

The money was never received because the Alaska organization's computer system was hacked and their bank account number was changed, according to investigators.
