Man Dies In Eden Prairie After Home Invasion: Police

The incident happened in a home on Jennifer Court Saturday.

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN — Authorities are investigating after a man suffered a fatal medical emergency after a home burglary Saturday. Just before 11 p.m. Oct. 6, Eden Prairie police received a call from a woman who said her home on Jennifer Court had been broken into and two suspects fled with cash.

The caller also said a man in the home with her during the burglary needed medical attention.

The Eden Prairie police and fire, along with Hennepin County EMS, responded and performed CPR. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

First responders weren't sure what caused the man’s medical condition.

Investigators believe the home invasion was targeted incident and there is no danger to the public. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the identity of the deceased man and what caused his death.
