  1. A Minnesota man was arrested for passing a bad check at a Kwik Star gas station in Mason City, Iowa. He is being investigated on charges of ongoing criminal conduct and forgery. According to investigators, a fake check was used to make a payment and included several other bad checks at Kwik Star locations in Minnesota. He is currently being held in Cerro Gordo County Jail on a $25,000 bond. (KIMT 3)
  2. The Alternate Side Parking Ordinance and Emergency Snow Route will be in effect Mar. 8 at 7 p.m. due to forecasted snow in Mason City. During the Ordinance, parking is permitted on odd-numbered sides on odd-numbered days and on even-numbered sides on even-numbered days, with vehicles needing to be moved between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. the night before. The Emergency Snow Route will be in effect on 1st Street NW from Monroe Avenue to Pierce Avenue, where no parking is allowed until further notice. (KTTC)
  3. The Mason City Ice Bowl disc golf tournament, held at East Park, raised $2,835 and collected 917 lbs of food for the Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank. The tournament was initiated to address hunger issues, and over the last three years, it has raised a total of $8,000. The event featured two rounds of 18 holes. (KIMT 3)
