Free COVID-19 Testing In MN: Hours, Locations

There are several community COVID-19 testing sites that are open Monday in the Twin Cities metro area.

TWIN CITIES, MN — With Minnesota and the rest of the nation experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases coinciding with the holidays, more residents want to get tested for the virus.

There are several community COVID-19 testing sites that are open Wednesday and Thursday. However, they will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Minneapolis Convention Center holiday hours (rapid and saliva testing)

  • Dec. 27–30: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Jan. 3: 11 a.m. –6 p.m.
  • Jan. 4-7: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

St. Paul Roy Wilkins Auditorium holiday hours (rapid and saliva testing)

  • Dec. 27-30: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Jan. 3-6: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Inver Grove Heights Armory (rapid and saliva testing)

  • Mondays: 11:00am – 6:00pm
  • Tuesdays: 11:00am – 6:00pm
  • Wednesdays: 11:00am – 6:00pm
  • Thursdays: 11:00am – 6:00pm

  • Weekends: Closed

CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens, and other pharmacies across the state are also offering rapid testing. Many clinics and hospitals provide testing as well.
