Cyclospora can cause diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, loss of appetite, and weight loss.

People typically become ill from Cyclospora about a week after eating the contaminated food. However, the period can range from 2 to 14 days. Diarrhea can last several weeks if it goes untreated.

People with symptoms are encouraged to call their doctor.
