Woman Killed At Minneapolis Apt. In Domestic Incident: Police

MINNEAPOLIS — The shooting death of a 43-year-old woman at a Minneapolis apartment is being investigated as a domestic situation. No arrests have been made.

On Sunday at about 8:20 p.m., officers from the 5th Precinct responded to reports of a shooting at 4271 Sheridan Avenue South.

At the apartment complex, police found a woman with a gunshot wound inside one of the units. Officers provided immediate medical care, including CPR, but she died at the scene.

Preliminary information indicates that this is a domestic-related incident between the woman and her live-in domestic male partner, according to police.

Forensic scientists and homicide detectives are investigating. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the woman's identity and cause of death.
