99th Annual Basking Ridge Community Sing Continues On Christmas Eve
Guests gather in Basking Ridge for less than 20 minutes to sing Christmas carols and wish good tidings before heading home.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Every year on Christmas Eve the Basking Ridge community comes together to sing carols. This year will be the 99th year of the event.
The Christmas Eve Sing is held on Saturday, Dec. 24 at 6:55 p.m. on the Green in Basking Ridge Village. It is held in person and there is also a live stream as well.
Guests gather in Basking Ridge for less than 20 minutes to sing Christmas carols, wish good tidings, then move on to their personal family traditions.

Church bells begin ringing at about 6:45 p.m. following by 10 songs sung. The caroling ends around 7:25 p.m. with another round of ringing church bells.
The “Christmas Eve Sing” is the oldest continuous Christmas Eve sing in New Jersey, according to The Mr. Local History Project, which is helping to host the event.

The Mr. Local History Project will be working with the volunteers over the next year to document the centennial celebration and history of this great event.
