BASKING RIDGE, NJ — An application by Signature Acquisitions, LLC to remove an existing 174,546-square-foot office building and build two new buildings was pushed to September "due to lack of quorum of eligible Board Members."

Board Chairwoman Jeanmarie Genirs noted that even though there were members present on Wednesday night, one member was not serving as a Board member for the Signature case.

"That would leave us with only three and therefore we could not hear that case tonight," said Genirs.

"The Board needs at least four to proceed and ultimately at least five members to vote," said Board Attorney Steven K. Warner.

The Bernards Township Board of Adjustment will hear the application for the 28.256 acres property at 150 Allen Road at a special meeting on Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Warren Craft Meeting Room.

The application has drawn opposition from Bernards Township residents. At the July 11 meeting, the Bernards Township Board of Education raised concerns about the potential increase in truck traffic near schools and its impact on school buses and students and staff arriving at school.
